More about Jocelyn,
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Jocelyn spent 14 years as a registered nurse, building a diverse clinical background rooted in emergency medicine. The majority of her nursing career was spent in the emergency department, where she served as a charge nurse and developed a strong foundation in caring for patients through complex, high-acuity situations. She also worked as a critical care transport nurse in Seattle, caring for critically ill patients during transport.
Her experience extends beyond the emergency setting, with a background in pediatric emergency care, urgent care, and school health. She also served as a nursing administrator within a local school district, giving her a unique perspective on healthcare, leadership, and the many factors that influence a person's overall well-being. Earlier in her career, she also operated an adult family home, further shaping her understanding of compassionate, individualized care.
Outside of medicine, Jocelyn is a wife and mother of two young children. She has a lifelong passion for fitness, health, and nutrition and believes that mental health is deeply connected to the way we live, move, nourish, and care for ourselves.
Outside of work, Jocelyn is usually happiest outdoors with her family and their German Shepherd. She loves hiking, camping, exploring the Pacific Northwest, and ending the day with a quiet walk through their wooded neighborhood.
Her approach to mental health is shaped by both her clinical experience and her belief that meaningful care should look at the whole person—not simply a diagnosis.
